My Hobby and MSI.

Recently went to one of their concerts, and since some of you are musing enthusiasts, I decided that it would be cool to share my experience, but before that, I feel like I should explain my fascination with music.

I enjoy playing the drums, didn't take any extra lessons to learn how to play them, in my high school our stage for school play's would always be open, so anybody could wander in there and either rehearse, do their homework, have sex, etc. On the stage would always stand a sett of drums, so while skipping class (Cause I'm 2 cool 4 school), I wandered onto the stage and humored the idea of me getting behind the drums, so I jokingly started drumming, however, I didn't realize that a joke would turn into a hobby.

I'm also a crazy concert goer, if there's a concert happening anywhere near me of my favorite band, I will definitely put aside any Proxy Mission, take some money out of our budget and enjoy myself. While I'm on the concerts I always try my hardest to hype up the crowd, since I know almost all of the songs, I always end up losing my voice afterwards cause I was trying to sing too loudly. if every limb in body hurts the next morning, then the concert was a success.

Photos of me from my recent concert of my favorite band "Mindless Self Indulgence":

I suddenly appear. I understand that he won't be against me jumping.
  Climb up for a jump.
  Prepare for the jump.
Jimmy feels my ass and gives me a push.
  Yours truly flies off.

Him feeling my ass is the highlight of the day.

This isn't my first time being on one of their concerts, the beauty of the band is the fact that their gigs are always loaded with craziness. I swear, one time, one dude threw a jar of piss onto the stage during the performance, Jimmy picked it up and said "This is the best prop we got so far!" They also get away with insulting the audience, but they also allow the audience to insult them back, in fact they encourage and welcome it. You can make crap load of friends during the concert, because everybody's always friendly, granted they are weird, but non-the less friendly. You won't find people of one specific movement on these concerts: Rappers, punks, goths, emos, everyone is always welcome and it isn't going to result in a fight. The performs themselves are always full of energy, they never stand in one spot and sing/play: Jimmy is the vocalist is always jumping around the stage like a maniac and always lets the audience finish the rhymes; Lyn-Z (Bassist) is not only good on the Bass Guitar, she makes it a spectacle to watch her play her guitar, doing the bridge while you are playing, dancing around and sometimes (If you're lucky) jumping into the crowd whilst playing the guitar, not to mention she's fucking sexy.

If they ever stop near you, be sure to visit one of those gigs, but be warned, be prepared to get your clothes dirty, the fans always bring some sort of shit that can surely dirty up the building, be sure that anything that you're wearing is weird (Not a requirement, but makes you feel like a part of the crowd).

  1. I went to my first music festival at 12. 2009 was the worst fuckin year of my life, except V Fest. The best thing was seeing Oasis there. Except, if you had jumped on the stage, Liam would have knocked your ass back down.

I get that performance is a really big part of it, Biffy Clyro for example, they were amazing live. I caught Athlete performing, and while I've never been a big Athlete fan, they were really fun and friendly. Biffy Clyro was just wild as fuck and absolutely amazing.

My story is that my mother was into 20th century rock, my stepdad into indie rock, my oldest sister into hip-hop, my other sister into pop and my brother was into electronica, dub step, EDM. So I got a lot of exposure to everything, I discovered metal through Kerrang magazine and radio. That's basically why I can carry a conversation about why you should listen to Korpiklaani then go straight into talking about all the rap feuds Ja Rule managed to start (forget Marilyn Manson; if anyone knows how to cross the fucking line, it's Ja Rule).

I can't be arsed to assign any rapper / punk / emo label to myself because I take inspiration from all of the above and more. I used to get called "emo" and shoved around at school, but at the time the Grime movement was popular (Wiley, N-Dubz, Dizzee Rascal) so I kind of get why I was a bit of an outcast. (Grime movement is essentially 2000s type thing with a heavy bass line and rapping in a British accent, if you're into that.)

Anyway, it's all that shit that enables me to look a person in the eye and say "I don't give a shit if you don't like Kesha's music. Because I like Kesha's music!"

    1. Well, good thing that you don't give a shit, because I'll tell you now, Kesha is a talentless ho' who got into this business only because she's another pretty face, she doesn't stand out, she doesn't have a deeper meaning in her songs other than "Get Drunk" and quite frankly, she can easily be replaced any time, any day and nobody will give a fuck.

    2. Kesha used to sneak into history lectures after she finished school, while studying physics and maths in some baccalaureate program. She got nearly full marks in her SATs (which are a bigger deal in America).

She writes her songs the way she does because people think they're fun, so writing musicto sell albums could be a mark against her. I never did particularly like her music, but as a peron she's better than most celebrities. Hell, most of them outsource their songwriting.

    3. Bah, details, her music still sucks.

    4. So don't sit on the fence, do you like her music or not? >:P

Talentless? Whatever helps you sleep at night. If talentless ho means writing your own songs and having a near genius IQ (over 140), then we should all be so lucky to be talentless hos! :D

    5. Writing your own music for money, nothing else, yes, talentless, last time I checked talent wasn't measured in IQ.

    6. Right. I forgot. Talent is measured in Malikmetres.
